Capt. Danny has been fishing in Miami his entire life. He has been cruising around Biscayne Bay and the local inter coastal for years, and understand where the big fish like to hide.
The Miami inshore fishery is highly pressured, and Capt. Danny knows and understands the times, tides, and seasons to target specific fish near shore. Tarpon, snook, seatrout, and other species are all on the list of fish that can be targeted along with snapper, grouper, and the occasional mahi mahi and kingfish that strays near shore and finds his hooks.
The 22′ pathfinder is mobile, and can be trailered north miami, to the northern keys.
I joined Capt. Danny at night the first week in February. With the shrimp just starting to run, the conditions are still a bit challenging. We went 3/3 on big tarpon to nearly 150lbs in just a few hours of fishing. It took a lot of experience to have the tackle, boat handling skills, and angling skills to reach the leader on these big fish in very close proximity to bridge pylons. I spend between 50-100 days a year fishing, and these inshore trips for big poons is the real deal. We even went home with a half a dozen nice mangrove snappers for dinner.
Capt. Danny is skilled both inshore and offshore, and understands how to catch fish. Let’s be honest, fishing takes some patience, no matter how good you are at it, and the fish don’t always just jump in the boat. Having the right attitude, and approach to having a great day on the water is an important part of the experience. If you want to catch some fish in see downtown Miami from a whole new perspective, you’ll enjoy a day out with Salty Adrenaline charters.
